Keyneton and Morgan Motorcycle Clubs combined for a ride day at Sedan on Sunday. The weather was clear and crisp on arrival at the track and the sun shone all day on the 70 plus riders. Three circuits were available to riders who rotated every 15 minutes, except for the young juniors whose track was available and in constant use all day. Their little track consisted of a couple of small jumps, bumps, left and right hand turns, which kept many entertained until either their tummies or tanks needed refuelling. The larger tracks were mostly scrubby natural terrain which included a lot of rocks. Although the district had received recent rain, it wasn’t enough to keep the dust down, especially when the big sidecars ripped around the paddocks. Six junior outfits took on the challenge of the enduro style conditions and enjoyed the change from the motocross tracks they are more familiar with. Both senior and junior solos classes had good numbers and enjoyed the well marked circuits for this combined fun day. Keyneton Club hosted the event by organising the property, officials and the well stocked catering van on the day. Fortunately the St John volunteers were able to relax due to the incident free event. Thanks in particular to the land owners and everyone who helped in any way. |
